I quoted 'new' because I've been here for over 3 years, but finally got my butt on the bike.

Learned to mountain bike while living in the Santa Cruz mountains and when I moved here I was basically a big baby about the lack of forest, buff trails, big hills, etc. wahh wahh wahh. ;)

My first taste down here was Florida canyon and Los Penasquitos so I guess I didn't exactly sample the good stuff. That's all behind me now though as I've moved out of the city and up to San Marcos and discovered La Costa. All it took was a good trail to re-light the fire and, well, now I'm introducting myself on mtb forums. :D

I already got some great, friendly advice in the Garage forum so I like it here already. Right now I'm just working myself into shape and re-acclimating my family to me going out riding haha.. soon I'll be looking for group rides and used bikes (need a FS out here in these rocks!)

Looking to ride LaCosta tomorrow actually after leaving work a bit early, hoping to get out there around 4:20 and hoping the clouds come in again like today. If you see me out on the trail I ride a red GF Tassajara and will be sucking wind up the hills and slightly out of control down the hills (my disc brakes howl so I don't like to use em)
