I think the google search problem is one that is true. DT is for the most part an SD mountain bike site. Therefore people should be able to find us. Maybe local bike shops that want to be apart of the vender forum should be encouraged to have a stack of business cards for people that come in. However as stated before there are many different parts of the country represented here. I think RHS had a good idea to the possibility of having city subforums for local rides as more riders from different areas congregate here.

The biggest thing I that will help DT remain a good source for SD rides and for SD mountain bikers to know to come here stems from the jerseys, stickers, business cards, and talking to other riders on the trail.

Lets not forget Pandas, lots and lots of pandas

I honestly dont think getting the word out a little better would hurt much. I suffered through 6 months of STR before finding DT. Keeping it word ouf mouth has its benefits though

What Google search "problem"? The top listed hit I just got is SDMBA, which has a direct link to DT. The next two are bike shops, which link you back to SDMBA, thus to DT. That doesn't take much research...

I wouldn't mind heading a Houston based link starting in august. Unfortunately I will be leaving the San Diego area and all the great riding, but I will be retired from the Navy after 21 years and it is time to move on and start a new chapter. I will miss San Diego, but I have been wondering what there is in the Houston area. I know there is nothing like this website there and I would like to always offer up what I have learned of the area to anyone from here that passes through and wants to ride. So maybe in august or so I can help branch this site into a new area, granted not a MTB mecca, but lots of single speed areas.

Houston isn't a mecca for mountain biking but it's better than you might think.

More tight , twisty, amazing single track than you've ever seen

Lance races Rocky Hill just about every year.

No climbing , though.

Awesome info, thanks for this. Yet more proof why this site rocks :bang:
I knew climbing was out the window, but just means I get to buy a new bike and get a single speed
