looked like a corrupt database table or our of disk space type of error.... no fun.

this was a "benefit" of being on a shared server. another customer was jamming the disc.

System issues today?

I have been getting a lot of this, in addition to the site seeming very slow:

(it could realistically be my ancient POS laptop, however)

that's good news. it was hard for me to tell if it was the site or my interwebs here at work.

by the way everyone: i put in a helpdesk request, and they responded by pretty thoroughly examining everything, and they couldn't find a cause either. if you're looking for hosting, i've never had better experience. HostGator ftw! \o/
