anyone for some micro blogging?

i've been thinking about adding functionality for micro blogging. this would be similar to twitter. it's an open source proj called laconica. i already have a user at their main site: http://identi.ca/ld00d.

we could link in to their service if there's any interest...

Sweet! I was just thinking we need another social networking standard...

I mean, because between work email, personal mail, "burner" email, the blackberry, snail mail, the cell phone, the home phone, the office phone, SMS, the 6 million "alerts" I get when some does something stupid at work, twitter, myspace, face book, the 600 crappy blogs and 2 dozen boards I read, and my 9 year old telling me what my four year old just broke, I find that I'm not connected enough. Fantastic!

yeah, just throwing it out there.

facebook has been a little more useful than myspace for finding old friends.

we don't have to upgrade -- we can stick with web version 1.0

i have one, but not for work. for some reason they made me hourly though, so i'd be charging by the minute if they did give me a blackberry.

I wish I could work hourly..

I pretty much refuse to answer emails on weekends these days. If it's important someone can call me.. if it's not important then it can wait till monday...
