What ever happened to "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all"?

The fact that there are blatant "hater" threads about individuals who post here is juvenile. If it is an inside joke, keep it that way. It is just feeding a fire that doesn't need stoking.

Take the issues to MTBR or gasp STR (hope that doesn't get me banned) or if you really have issues, maybe Pink Bike will help you get past them.

Just let it go. No argument will ever get solved on a board.

The forum is just the forum... it's the people that are behind the screen names that make this place awesome. I have to yet ride with anyone that I did not like in real life.

A common problem with people talkin smack on the internet is that people say.."its jus the internet". Its a total copout to not having manners or thinking of others feelings.
It seems that there has been a desensitization of communications between people on the internet. "The Internet" is now just an entity or a medium that people use to vent. The fact and concept that we are actually communicating with other "people" has been washed away. I think there needs to be a re-introduction of how to interact on the internet. This website is "friend" based. Not an invisible entity based forum. Some just dont get it, some do.

Ever wonder if i would make a difference if everyone were required to join using their real name rather than a screen name/call sign? I always thought part of the chat board cat fight problem must be the anonymity factor. But then so many of us know each other and get along in person, we're not exactly anonymous anyway. Go figure.

Nope. There are a couple of people here that seem to be the biggest noise makers, and I generally ignore them.

There is one "foe" that I marked the day I saw him join onto DT (I hated him on MTBR), and I've not heard from him since. Maybe he's posting and maybe he isn't. I don't know or care.

funny. when i ocd and dan lorek first joined, i was like "oh man, here comes trouble", but they've been pretty cool on DT imo.
