Hey Ive been going into North of the Border to get service and parts and I even got a 29er frame from them (Vassago), Mike is pretty cool. So I approached him about advertising on here...Brian do you have a plan? what are Monthlies? I offered to make him a banner free of charge, just to get the ball rolling, its up to you now to set the cost(if there is one) or maybe you can ask him for a discount for members. although hes got really good prices on the average.

Let me know B how you want to do this...

there are no monthlies currently. rhs paid for the hosting for a year. pillow pants bought the domain name. you and i don't get paid for what we do...

i like mike. i think he'd know who i am if you said i was the guy rebuilding my toras.

is paying for a year of hosting a lot? I dunno, I think Mike makes a decent living there, the Shops been there forever, if you go in a lot hes pretty cool about doing stuff here and there for free and stuff. I'm not sure what u want to do, I think it should be something semi non-profit, like just to keep the site going so it stays a fun community, I'm okay with doing a small banner for free, I make decent money here at Sony, the banner can always go into my portfolio

I'll start working on it soon in my spare time.

the annual is not very much. i suppose we could trickle out to those who have spent their hard-earned cash first.

after that, maybe we could do a rafflish sort of thing every so often where someone here wins something (like stm did with the saddles -- although i'm suspicious of that cuz the winner must have worked a deal or something

). that's what i was thinking if we ever got the shirt and sticker thing off the ground...

we have a Tshirt design? it seems so long ago!!!, hey why dont you contact him personally, and explain everything, He seemed into it in the email...just let me know, Im gonna start looking for logos and stuff to use for the banner.

We run into Mike at Cuyamaca last Sunday, we told him about the new singletrack and him and his group just took off after that, I heard a lot of good comments from the guys about Mike and his store, I've never being there but it sounds like a good partner to have.

I agree with Thai, the cost should be minimal, just enough to keep the sight running, any extra could go towards the cost of t-shirts, jerseys, stickers, buttons, bling, flags......whatever.
I know when the time comes for said items we''ll be doing dilligent research in regards to best pricing, turnaround time, location.....all that jazz.
We will at that time need to consider how much each of us will be willing to pay.
I don't know, just some thoughts, I'm groovy with any direction you guys want to go with this as long as we remain realistic and grounded.

it's all good man just as long as the majority of the members benefit i'm cool w/ that.

or the other idea of having the money for t-shirts would be awesome just dont take 6 months to get the shirts done
