What happened to my Thanks?

oh yes, this is the best idea EVER. I am not a big fan of the thanks button (a carry over of the other site in my opinion)

really? i thought people liked it. the one benefit i can see is it reduces the number of thanks posts. Like "thanks!" in a post for example.

i'm still working on the fix for this, but if most of you don't want the thanks, i'll get rid of it.

Yeah B, it's a MTB site ya know, not an underwater basket weaving site. I say, if you want to *thank* someone for their *insightful* post, go to HSN.com and sign up for their forum. The "thanks" race seems to be "like winning a gold medal at the Special Olympics..."

And I see your point on it reducing the number of redundant "thanks! (p.s. I'm a ferry and if you wanna come over later and spoon, I'll be home around 7)" posts, although hopefully people willl understand that it's not really necessary to thank 99% of the posts out there and maybe, one day, they'll realize that it actually devalues the value of their "thanks" because they're flooding the market with "thanks".

it is for this reason there's no "most thanked" page.

My vote is to remove thanks altogether. Its just wasted space IMO. And yes, I dish them out like their candy
