No, I'm not thanking you. I'm telling you about some work I did, and asking for your help.

A while back, I noticed the thanks mod I put on the board was horribly coded. It pulled every user and every "thanks" every time viewtopic.php was loaded. At first, that wasn't too big a problem, but as we grew, the page load got slower as you've all noticed.

I thought I had fixed this, but I looked at the file recently and noticed I hadn't touched it. So I fixed it... I think... this is where you come in.

What I changed was the topic page and the actual thanks code that is attached to it. This loads the stuff in the poster's profile (as seen on the left of this post for example) so you see how much has been given and received. It also loads the "so-and-so has been thanked blah blah" at the bottom.

Can you please watch this stuff and make sure it's working correctly. Also, please keep me updated on any error pages or other error stuff you may see (hopefully none).

Thanks

Oh, I guess I was thanking you after all...

Maybe this was the root of the lag I have been expierencing lately. I noticed it on my home machine, work machine and my phone. If this fixes it, thanks B!

Yep, my experience had been super slow page loads only when viewing individual topics (i.e. viewtopic.php) but response times were ok with "view new posts" (search.php) or viewing forum indexes (viewforum.php). Now the topics are loading much quicker. Thanks, señor D00d!

Nice. I'm envious. I'm still rocking an old Blackberry my work gave me. I think it has Biopace chainrings. The camera's gone to crap so I'm planning to ask for an upgrade.

you guys and your thread hijacking

i've had my eyes on this stuff for a while: http://cnn.cn/shop/korean-carbon-weave- ... 14479.html

i really like the look of my phone, and i don't like having it all condomed up with a giant case. so why not replace the back with something more durable and give it a unique look too?

That's cool, mine is rubber on the sides and carbon weave on the back. It's the one I got free when I got my phone because of the f'd up antenna.
