Well, we have good news masked as bad news.
The site template we're using is old, and it has been abandoned. (Im paraphrasing Ldoods vast knowledge). Basically this last software upgrade was good, but not as good as it could be and lacking in some options. Seems like bad news right? Well, its actually good news because now we can use a new template that is complete with what we want and need, as well as update to a newer, fresher appearance, something not quite as boring as what we have now.
The link I'm providing contains a grip of templates, some are fugly, some are geeky, some are real oldschool, but some are really nice.
Please take the time and look through the styles available. The selector is at the top marked as SELECT STYLE.
It will be interesting to see what ya'll think we should have.

New Templates

Thanks!

when you upgrade, is there any way we could get a couple strippers swinging from poles on the banner?.....instead of dudes on mountainbikes.

Just curious, how many of you are using widescreen monitors? The only reason I ask, is because so far, I think all your choices (except for aktif) are the narrower templates.

I have a widescreen monitor. However, I have gotten used to the skinny forum, so it doesn't matter to me which way it goes.

not all of the styles will work for us at the latest version, so keep going, and I'll filter the list.

looks like dirtyboard won't make the cut, but I like that one too.

I split my time between a 22" widescreen and my 15.4" laptop. But when I'm on the widescreen, I don't maximize the browser window (unless needed to see some huge image, etc.)

Laptop horizontal res: 1280 px

Widescreen horizontal res: 1680 px, but with window sized to about 3/4 of that, it's about the same. So yes, I definitely prefer the narrow templates.

Edit: after thinking about it (and playing around with the sample templates), I'm not sure it really matters. The full-width templates will resize to whatever size window you're using, like any well-designed web page should
