Just got back from a marathon drive to/from Boise. Fortunately, I had a couple of days to check out the Boise area. I was super impressed by the trails and the people there, I first went to http://www.joyride-cycles.com/ to get some information on the area. After getting 10 minutes worth of directions, the guy at the shop, Jesse, told me to just meet him the following morning at the shop @ 7 for a 20 mile tour of the Rivers to Ridges trails.

He said to check thehttp://eaglebikepark.org/ in the meantime, and to maybe get a short lap up in the foothills, too.

Day 1:
Started at Camel's Back Park, rode up Lowers Hull's Gulch trail to the 8th St. Moto Trail and took in the View of the city:

Next, I took the Fat Tire Traverse:

over to the top of a sweet, flowy downhill (Three Bears):

I finished off the loop by riding the Military Connector trail over to the Red Cliffs Trail:

It made for a super fun maybe 10 mile loop and a great introduction to the riding that is accessible from basically anywhere (by bike) from downtown Boise.

Oh yeah...
On Day 2 I met up with the guy from the shop and another dude on a rigid ss and we made a 20 mile loop of the foothills starting and ending at the shop. I only ended up with one picture as my hands were either numb from cold or I was too busy chasing the other guys uphill...
