Woke at 5:30 to a hammering headache then tossed cookies to start the day. Slammed some assburns and crashed til 9. Got up and decided this calls for a sole ride at Hollenbeck!
The weather was funky and so was I so it was meant to be....
Checked for the TH on MTB Bills site :hello: and headed off past the town of Jamul, Aka, Earacheville.

There was some nice exposed ST to be had in spots. (I went up and shoulda went down after thinking about it but followed his map)

Oh, lookie back on that ridge on the right :ninja: :ninja:

Followed the map but ran into a block trail and couldn't legally ride any further so I cruzed around and found some ST here and there.

It was a good ride and a great way to clear the head

Looks like you had a pleasant Soul Ride Mike... but yes, the canyon is more fun in the other direction.
I'd still like to join you sometime... when you come back, and I can ride again...
I'm 2 weeks into a case of severe rock-rash and a broken rib... oh well...

Eric, hollaback at us when you are well...I'd like to join your tour. My memory of those trail intersections is not so good. Hope your recovery is a fast one.

Mike, thanks for the TR! But what is lurking on the ridge to the right? I can't tell on this little screen...

Tight twisty single track that is a bit hard to see from that pic. Not too far past that point the "trail" was closed so I tried to find any little bit of ST that I could.

Hope you recover quickly Eric :hello:

Will-do Dan

Mike, I know what the sign says, but, the real problem in that area, that is of concern to the "powers-that-be", is not Mtb'ers, but rather, fools with motors that tear it up, especially after it rains. Damn local yahoo's...
