I recently moved and am now about two miles from the dirt in SEH. Yesterday, I went for a little ride from home.

Things are getting green.

Thanks to the trail gnomes responsible for these little bridges and brushing lesser used sections of trail.

Scattered clouds dappled the ground with shadows.

Time to descend.

Image

There's a good deal of water flowing in San Marcos Creek.

Image

Hhmmm. Turn right to head home or left for the long way back around?

Image

Long way.

Image

Fun little bump.

Ended up being 17 miles (~12 on dirt) and 2200 feet of climbing. I am not a fan of riding my mtb on pavement; but, I'll get over it!

Congrats on the new pad. Riding from home is a cool extra bonus to any casa. But be aware that being able to ride from home takes away any excuse to not go ridin.

Nice looking bike, isn't it? I don't know exactly which of the many versions it is, but looks like a fairly new Stumpjumper.

Yep. 2010 26" stumpy. I like to strip logos/advertisements off my bikes. Bike is pretty much stock: put on some larger diameter ODI grips, removed shifter indicators, Stan's Flow rim/Hope hub rear wheel and a Command Post/Sella Italia saddle.

EDIT: I guess there's some irony in mentioning stripping logos and then posting brand names in the same post...
