Rode Calaveras today without my kids. Went exploring, since I really don't know the back forty. After swapping forks and wheels and going tubeless, I had two straight rides skunked by mechanicals before they even started. All those new toys felt good and I rode better than ever. Finally looped back around and noticed my own tire treads from the first time around. Made me smile through the tired legs and heaving lungs. Might just have to keep this up...
