Oh she is real, before i met up with you guy's on top her and bf were walking behind me as i was hab'ing it up and i played it off and stopped to let them pass and was honestly in aww over the view up walking behind her and did not even think about taking a picture (sorry guy's) but i will see her again as juging by her backside she frequently hikes.

And yes pgFA that sounds like her

and can blame her for my crash on the way down as i was still picturing the view :D

Let's HAB Big Rock next week. Mesa is boring. or we'll go up Golfcrest/Navajo trail for more backside scenery.

Is it easier to hike Big Rock vs Mesa?

I was one of the guys who was on the head rangers doorstep the day they "closed" cowles to bikes last time. I hike it often and personally will not ride it during high traffic because it isn't worth the hassle.

You should check out the fortunas, there is more chunk and challenge there.

I was kidding about the bear bell. I wasn't kidding about looking like a douchebag. At least give the hikers a yield and be semi respectful. Otherwise, myself and others will be at the rangers office again, trying to smooth out the wrinkles for mistakes that others make.

I'd probably be like "that is some rad riding bro!" but... it wasn't anything special, to be honest.

Nah Im no really trying to be aggressive but damn guys, there are people that have spent countless hours improving relations in and around Cowles and for the first time in years we seem to be making headway.

Then you see things like this and the rider clearly isn't yielding to the hikers.

These hikers aren't the devil, they are people out getting a little exercise in the city.

I mean, put yourself in the position of working for years to improve relations in your back yard and then seeing a video like this with someone displaying a sense of entitlement. One small mistake and years of work goes out the door because someone got in a car, drove a half an hour, suited up with a camera to make a "rad video" of a 1.5mile trail ride basically just blazing past some hikers and "owning some waterbars"

Basically it is saying "fuck you" to all the people who have put in time and effort to keep Cowles open to bikes, for what? Bragging rights of mediocre riding on a relatively tame trail.

it is just bullshit to see it.
