No, but saw rescue crew climbing up spine. They didn't seem to know or say much at the time, just asked if we had seen a person in distress. We had only skirted the volcano, not climbed it.

Update: hiker with a sprained or broken ankle couldn’t get off the hill. Helicopter cane in moved her on a basket to the EZ.

Glad it was a hiker and not biker, with all the current anti biker at Carlsbad stuff.
