Please see below message from SDMBA. Note that the FS welcomes all stakeholders. SDMBA membership not required. This is a great opportunity for input into future trails.

More about the area here: http://sdmba.com/site/pamo-valleyorosco-ridge-mountain-bike-trails-plan/

As long as I've being riding I remember people always asking for bike specific and gravity oriented trails, the plan is to have 20+ miles of just that, no horses or hikers in that area. The other 60-70% of the trail system will be multiuse trails.
Now is the time for bikers to show up and support what we have being asking for. There's a fundraising on the SDMBA page, we need $40 for the full trail plan to be done by professional trail builders, we only raised about half of it, please get involve, donate something today.

...and I thought I would, but I'm still at work in Temecula, so I won't. Please let us know how it went.

Large local mtb presence (high school team? and associates), many SDMBA peeps, leadership of an SD equestrian club (who challenged us/mtbers to a beer drinking contest), a couple of local land/home owners, etc.
Meeting was essentially a 20 min slide show, presented by Ben Stone, outlining the high level goals of the project and steps to get there. Following the presentation he opened the floor for people to ask questions make short comments.

My take away: There is support from USFS to allow us to build what we can pay for and maintain. How big we dream and how we get there is up to us. SDMBA seems to be looking into every opportunity to source what they can in terms of monetary and general support and to navigate all the competing interests.

The sdmba face book page should have a recording of the presentation part of meeting, it was streamed live and I think saved.

Make sure to donate, faster they get money, faster project can get going.
