Where would be the coolest place to ride this Saturday?? Im thinking a journey up to Mt Laguna, where it's supposed to be 78 deg vs 85 down in Oceanside.

Who would want to head up to the mountains for a ride Saturday??

Other option would be a trip up to Idlewylde where it should be 77.

I think laguna would be better than Idy, though forecast shows possible thunderstorms sat. pm. Idy generally seems to be hotter and have more bugs because you tend to drop down lower than town on the Hub trails. For cooler temps Big bear is usually the best option though forecast is showing possible thunderstorms both days this weekend. Wrightwood is not showing any storms and is a good option as well if you know the trails.

I'm heading for Mt. Laguna in the late morning, so I can revel in the El Cajon heat on the way.
You gotta love The Box!

It should be around 76 up top.

^^It was warmer than I thought....maybe around 80f. tops. Still, well worth the drive.
I got in 24.1 miles, with an 8.6 mph avg.

Not bad for an old that has heatstroke history.

Ever single time I get up there nowadays, I count myself lucky....I drink it all in. Ys never know if that time is gonna be the last.
