Riding old and slow on the Santa Margarita River Trail tomorrow morning in Fallbrook, departing the Sandia Creek trailhead parking lot at 9ish.

Edit: Switching to the trail head parking at the other end, Willow Glen.

It was a great day for a SMaRT ride today! Dirtrider, ODD, and I had a great time riding along the river.
Thanks for organizing the ride ODD!

What great weather today! SMaRT may not be buffed out single track, fast and flowy, but it's got some variety, including some rocks and sand, and is a really nice change of pace. It was pretty hot climbing up to and on the 500' Trail, but there was a good breeze and beautiful views. And down along Rainbow Creek and the Santa Margarita River, it was great to ride in the shade of oaks and sycamores. Thanks for riding along.

Did you cross the creek to the north side and head toward Temecula?
Did you find the pictographs and railroad tracks along the way?

No, we stayed on the south side. Next time.

(And thanks to you and Pacman for parking advice and offers)
