The date for the Julian Death March is now finalized. It will be October 20th, 2012 and we are adding an exciting addition to the race. We will have 50 spots open for a longer race version that will start the same time as the main event which will be at 8:00 A.M. on Saturday and will continue through 4:00 P.M. on Sunday October 21st 2012. This group will be required to have Spot trackers on them throughout the race and we plan on having a venue where people can watch the racers progress via a big screen all the way through the end of the race. You can also watch their progress on any computer with internet access or even through your “smart phone”.
The long race version course is not finalized but we have some routes in mind that are sure to make this an epic event. In the spirit of adventure racing the longer loop will be unsupported and unmarked AFTER the first 86 miles so you must be willing and able to navigate on your own through cue sheets and with a GPS, plus have a lighting system that can get you through the night time sections.
