Not sure how much rain Carlsbad received yesterday. Don't want to be "that" guy treading on goop.
I would like to do an easy (hopefully not run into Skylar and dad) ride today after work.
Is Calavera going to be dry enough today?

Meanwhile, net elevation gained at Lake Hodges topped at 2,300ft.. :)

Not sure how much rain fell but Carwash takes the longest to recover from both rain and wheel tracks.

Cool. Thanks. I'll stick to Cvera then.
We really should have a DT ride at Idy. No Hellrazor just Pine Cove to The Hub System. All singletrack and I mean bona fide single track variety. Beer at the Hub dirt lot thereafter.

Well that sounds like fun. Fred and I just did some of that route the other day.

The rain in carlsbad was nothing compared to the rain in riverside yesterday. We got caught up in the worst of it on 371 south of Anza and learned that six wheels are better than 4 in flash floods.

Word, Mike. I was just ahead of the flash floods on 371 yesterday. It was nuts. So imagine that deluge, just at the Hub system. PRIME LOAM. Let's do this ride. I have routes that are just right for any skill level..just need some good base fitness (i.e. not for beginners). :)
Maybe next Sunday?? (I'll be at Snow Summit jump park on Saturdee).

That looks so fun, must ride there. Reminds of the trails I grew up on in Massachusetts.

I will put up a post in the calendar and see if we can get a carpool going up to idyllwild on Sunday am.
