Hi Guys,

My colleague and I are going to Reno/Taho area at the end of the month (4biz) and will have 3-4 hours of free time to go riding somewhere in the central/norther part of the lake (closer to the airport).
I've heard it's a decent place to ride :D

I will have a rental car but I will need to rent a bike and accessories though and find a trail. Which means I need your advise:

What is your experience with this area?
What are the best trails (DH, singles, xc) for adv.beginner/intermediate skill levels?
Where should I rent a bike, get a lift to the trailhead, etc.?

Thanks so much,
Tomeq

Look up Mr Toads Wild Ride, Armstrong Trail, Flume trail and Corral and find out which works best for your time constraints. For beginner/ intermed do the Flume, it is gorgeous. There are companies that will shuttle you to the top. They may have bikes too. The other trails are harder and will be there when you go back. Jealous. Have fun.

If you want a shuttable run, the Tyrolian AKA Chinese downhill is an awesome trail and one of my favorites. The let out is at the base of Diamond Peak resort in incline village. Its is fast and flowy, I shuttle it but it is pedable. There is also the martis creek trail near Mr Toads. It is a little more DH oriented.
