This is generally touted as a "winter ride" due to the heat, dusty conditions, and poison oak during the warmer seasons. Today was sunny and in the 60's, so the weather was a non-issue, and as a San Diegan, dusty conditions and PO would be a taste of home. Coincidentally, the trail had a very SoCal feel to it. (Most pics taken with my cell phone because the display on my digicam broke.)

I reckon no one wants to see pictures of forest singletrack anymore, but this one has some chunk to it:

Nice job Dennis.

Climb Beacon Rock when you get a chance....fun.

My mom grew up in White Salmon, so it was cool to see your pics of the area.

Hood River, White Salmon and the surrounding area is awesome........Ahh Husom Falls, I learned to boof there. So many good Mtn and Road rides in the area. The entire area is an outdoor recreation mecca. If you ventured to Hood River did you happen to hit Brians Pourhouse??

I actually don't drink alcohol so negative to Brian's. McDonald's on the way out of Hood River was excellent though!

I don't know the answer to your question (try http://www.mthood.info/recreation/mt-hood-recreation-hiking.html), but thanks for bumping a good TR from the past.

I reckon you were wrong. I like 'em just as much again a year later.

I had to google "boof", and two meanings popped up. I really hope this refers to kayaking.
