For day 4 of our trip there were requests to go back to Grafton. The ride from Goose to Grafton is tiring so people wanted another shot at it. I was down for this as well because we had spotted some new singletrack up there the first day that I wanted to check out. In the end we were able to put together almost a complete new line on the mesa. Sweet, more reason to get back here again!

Trail names you won't see on any maps

No, I didn't. The exit was too gnarly

Guacamole was at the top of my list for this trip. Unfortunately we had been too burnt out to hit it on the other days / other trips, and there was no way I was missing it again this trip. We spent a bit too much time on Grafton so Gman, Billy and James took off. But Bjammin was into some Guac, and Richard's elbow was twisted enough to ignore the painful achilles and go for one more ride.

The ride starts off with a stretch of slickrock and then heads over along the mesa edge

Guacamole is pretty much a lollipop ride, with some side options thrown in for fun

We traverse across to hit the lollipop part of the ride

For a while we alternate between slickrock and singletrack

We miss a turn but stumble on some cool rock rolls

What looks out of place in this landscape?

In summary:

This is definitely a cool trail and I can see why the locals recommend it. We missed a couple of the side trails, but we were very glad to have taken one for the team to stick around a few hours longer to check out this trail. The opportunities to play up there are almost limitless, and the trail is very fun. Minimal climbing too, though there are lots of steep short power moves.

Its a bit out of the way but good for a 3 hr ride. It could definitely be done as a 1/2 day, combined with something else in the area. The road up is fairly steep and not ideal for low clearance passenger cars. You could make it, but it would not be a fun drive. The ride would be worth it, though. I will definitely be back!

Love that place. We did it as a half day a few years ago coupled with slickrock swamp. From what I have heard the swamp is now off limits. Bummer :|
