This was our long ride for the trip, the plan was to shuttle it and leave my car near the Navajo Lake campground(end of the ride) and have the driver drop us off at the starting trailhead Strawberry Point and do a 20 mile point to point ride.
We have an early meet up with the shuttle driver near the lake.

His co-pilot was a very cool guy.

I asked the driver to take us a picture, I little out of focus but he was a nice guy anyway.

From the beginning the trail was just awesome.

You ride on deep forest for a few miles, most of it feels like you are climbing the whole time and then the pink cliffs come to view.

We were having so much fun riding along the cliffs with such an amazing views all over.

About half way between the start and Cascate Falls Joey(stumpjumber4117) went down hard, we knew it was bad by the look at his face turning pale green, he was on pain on his right side of his chest, later on when we got home he found out it was a broken rib, no wonder. He continue to ride but he was on a lot of pain as you can see here:

We rode slow to the Cascate Falls trailhead where we decided for him and tastytrail would wait for us to go and get our car. So we change our route a little and took the fireroad and the north side of Navajo Lake Trail to get to my car, we only stopped for a few pictures.

When we reached the lake we rode by the lava fields, that was cool.

The trail along the lake reminds me of another place but I can't think of it now

Despite Joeys crash we had a great time, this turned up to be our last ride of the trip since the following day the weather didn't look that good and Joey needed to see a doctor, he is doing fine now, it was a great trip.
Rodrigo and I ended up riding over 23 miles and climbing almost 3500 feet, not bad considering you are riding at over 8000 ft of elevation
I was so tired at the end.

Good times :bang:
