The leak is at the point the trail crosses the culvert, making nearly a 180 degree turn?

I will let the developer know as soon as you can confirm it.

I had seen that too. Though I wasn't sure it was a leak, seemed they just run the sprinklers right there and the spray overlaps the trail. Sometimes it is dry, sometimes it is really wet. Haven't been back since Arch though.

Ill investigate next time I am out then. I cant confirm its a leak, I never checked just rode through. But its the only spot that is drenching wet compared to any other parts of the trail especially on the top section. At least they could maybe point the sprinklers in a different direction if that is the case? I mean its almost to the point where you actually shouldn't ride it.

We did have rain though last week, so maybe its a pooling area? Although I rode it last week before the rains and it was the same, worse this week. Just thought I would bring it up. Its just strange to be so wet compared to the rest of the trail.

It's probably a natural spring. Now they'll shut down the whole area.

There were two natural springs on the old dirt rode that is now homes and Carmel Valley Rd on the north side of Blk Mt. While digging trails way up on East Ridge we ran across two others. Pretty cool deal really

Now if they find fairy shrimp.....

Some added value to PQ today. We installed the pad for a repair station next to the kiosk at the top of the powerline climb. We will place actual station in the coming weeks once the pad completely cures.

Ranger Melanie, rodster, and myself knocked it out in about 90 minutes.

The finished pad

Final touch was to embed lots of cobble stone on the surface just to give it less of a concrete appearance. Will post up the finished results in a week or two.

My wife was reading the paper today about some MTB trail stuff with Pardee and asked me if I knew some guy named Matt B. and Rich J.

Carmel Valley News. Written by Karen Billing. I can't seem to find the story online. This is the closest I got: http://www.delmartimes.net/news/2016/ma ... sa-pardee/
