[Edit 5/9/18 by olddogdan: This topic split off from the Calendar discussion about last month’s USFS trail plan meeting]

I just submitted my donation.

I challenge every Dirt Treader to donate $100 to the project!

We all want more trails. With the USFS supporting this project, it should be a gimme. Let's make it happen!

You can deliver comments in support of the trails plan via an internet link in this SDMBA message:

“PUBLIC COMMENT HAS STARTED ON 20 MILES OF TRAIL AT OROSCO RIDGE!

This is your opportunity to let the Forest Service know this project is important to you! Follow the below link to a form email we have created in support of this project.

A unique message is important, but a form one is great as well and will only take you two minutes!

WTF. And reportedly this new District Ranger blindsided SDMBA with this announcement. After SDMBA provided the District with $65k in mountain biker donations for the project.

I don’t think there will be anything to follow other than comments. Sounds final, and the money was spent on the EIR.

Anyone who donated money should demand an immediate refund in full.

Not blaming but some kind of strings should have been attached to that much money.

If you want to spend $$ on trails that will actually is being built, look into the Palisade Plunge being built outside/above Fruita & Grand Junction. 30+ miles of trail to rival The Whole Enchilada in Moab. Besides, it will give you a good excuse for a road trip.
