SDMBA did a very good job writing this survey. Sometimes surveys are slanted to get a desired result, or are missing possible responses. Much better than the very short IMBA survey I took recently, which I suspect was just to get email addresses.

I'm not a fan of IMBA's board, but do think that best chance for change at IMBA is from chapters like SDMBA pushing them.

Ha, ironically myself and 1 board member were the only ones on the inner circle against joining IMBA years ago. I didn't think IMBA had done anything for SD or SoCAl and didn't think it served our membership best. The IMBA board doesn't seem like the type that learns from their mistakes and would just brush off the loss of SDMBA, I figure staying with them we can be a thorn in their side. But I'm not really in the loop anymore and I imagine it would take a lot of effort to get IMBA to change.

I can see why people would not want to send money to IMBA, but you can be a SDMBA only members via paypal...

I have to agree. Seceding from the union, taking my ball and going home, throwing toys out the pram . . . usually not succesful strategies.
