Well, you have to work for it. We start at 7:45 am on Sundevil way and will work until just after noon.

I am asking if you are attending to RSVP by Thursday, Jan 28 so I can accommodate you. I want to make sure I have the tools needed and make sure we don't run out of food. It happened last year. Hungry workers are SOOO pissy!

Two ways to RSVP

- Meetup.com

- PM me

There will be more than water to drink afterwards too.

Well, stay away from the 5 through La Jolla/UTC. With the golf this weekend it could be bad.

Showed up at 7:30, loaded to the hilt. Felt a little bit like a vagabond. Barely enough room inside the truck to fit my two boys.

Big thanks to the 40 who showed up. 10 of those were scouts from Troop 648, nice job boys!!

We really focused on completing the western connector from Nighthawk down to the saddle. Now that it is complete, queue the wet weather, right on time! The rains will really help solidify the lines and any soft dirt that needs it. Please respect the closures to give the trail time to ready itself. Within the next couple of weeks, it will be ready for your tires.

We had to build a few transition over to a change in the original line.

Finished:

Continued widening the bench to make it sustainable.

And utilized the scouts for benching and then brushing a scared corner. It looks great now!

Finally, the reward. Burgers, chips, and drinks.

See these two guys in the front, right of the picture? They are Senior Ranger Ed and Ranger Carey. When you see them on the trails, make sure you are the nicest you have ever been to anyone. Thank them for everything they have done for us. Trust me....

Rod, Evan, Rich, and Dom stayed on for extra credit work after lunch. Thanks guys. Everyone else was done for the day.

For reference, A and B are done, waiting for weather and final opening.

We are working on C now. The bench is almost out to the first, southern point. That is where all the rock work is. Goal is to compete all of C this season. We will see where that leaves us for the rest. If it is a good, wet winter, we might get a lot more done.
