Please respect the trail closures. There are no new trails open to any use on Black Mountain at this time.

Just a reminder to everyone. It is VERY important to stay off of the new trails until they are officially open. While the tread may be there, it is nowhere near ready for traffic. We have already had several riders using the trail we partially cut last weekend causing a number of issues in the soft soil including pronounced erosion ruts.

Once as section is open, there will be a formal announcement. It will most likely be toward the end of spring once the rainy season subsides giving it plenty of time to turn into a solid tread.

Patience young grass-hopper...

We should really not be starting construction right at trail intersections, for the same reasons social trails are often built from the middle out with the ends constructed last.

Agreed but I didn't have any control over the brushing teams. The top was signed but we all know how well signs get obeyed in our world and the bottom was brushed but I don't know if it got put back. The digging didn't start until better than 200 feet into the trail.

All I am asking is a little reservation until spring. I am sure it will be named some crazy thing like Richard's drippy dick* on strava well before it is ever open.

*If your name is Richard, no insult meant.

Since I might be bankrupt by then, you have my permission to name it "Ray's Demise".
