Should be ideal building conditions for trail building on Black Mountain tomorrow at 8 am.

Come join me and about 12 other people to help the continued push to get the 4.5 miles of NEW trail open. We will be focusing on the east connector between a saddle and junction. It is a beautiful new alignment that completely bypasses the heinous HAB fire road up little Black Mountain. The entire route is an awesome 5% grade.

Meeting at 7:45 am at the end of Sundevil way. It is a short 2/3 mile hike to the trail head. Snack, post work libations, and swag will be provided to all who attend.

I tried to get a ride at BM prior to the rain this morning and got about halfway around miners loop before it started pouring buckets...it definitely got wet out there.

Ha, nothing more fun that getting caught in the middle of a ride with little cover. Any chance I will see you tomorrow?

Could it be? More rain in the forecast. Prediction is up to 80% by 9 pm.

If anyone is free and wants to shovel moist dirt Saturday, I'll schedule with the ranger staff (Carey is working Sat). I was up there both Sunday and today. Conditions for trail work are perfect right now.

Sunday makes sense in terms of maximizing turnout.

I can do sat or sun. Will need tools as I don't have anything myself.

I was looking forward to this but unfortunately my work beckons for the whole day on Saturday. I really like the dirt-work phase of trail building.......it's like putting the icing on a cake.
