They should just carpet bomb the whole place and get it done

If your reliable source is my niece's husband, you may want to confirm that information...kidding, he's reliable about 56% of the time....

I drove by the Tamarack entrance the other day and there was a white truck parked at the entrance, but it wasn't a ranger. The truck was marked "Private Security" and there was a guard sitting in it. What a waste of our tax dollars.

One would guess that there has to be pressing matters for the people that are paid by our tax dollars to do in these times. Total shame and agencies have forgotten who they work for and who paying them.

I went to Sage Creek HS yesterday with the boys to skate in the recently abandoned parking lot and saw the "Homeless Outreach" Carlsbad PD cruiser parked on Bobcat Way by to the entrance to the southern private land area. They let us do our thing. Saw the drone come in for a landing then they took off to presumably catch their quarry.

Took a quick spin today and cruised the east side of the preserve on my way south to Cantarini/Hollybrook Ranch. Once I got past the immediate area around the lake I was literally the only one out there. It was glorious.

I spent 10 min just sitting on a rock enjoying the breeze, the flowers and the general solitude down in Cantarini/Holybrook.

It really is amazing to have such a great place to get out an enjoy nature.

On my route back I dropped down to college and saw Gabe chilling in his truck at the end of Canon by Sage Creek HS. I guess the state pays him to just sit in his truck in the afternoons and keep an eye on the High School parking lot?

Now, now, he could be on his state mandated lunch break.

We rode the S40 last night. Thank you to the trail angel(s) getting busy out there.

It was not me, but I will let them know. ;-)

I was recently shown a great little trail that has some cool rock rollers. I went back and did it a second time, so good!!!!

Haven't posted for a while.

Wanted to give an update. While things with CDFW are stagnant and Gabriel destroyed a ton of stuff off the pad, we are actively working with the City on improving their trails.

Most of you saw the repairs on the bottom of Monkey Flower, today we walked the climb at the other end as well as Serpentine.

Due to the extensive work needed to fix the climb on the other end of Monkey Flower, that will probably wait until next winter.

We are however planning a work day for Serpentine to fix some of the rutting in the middle section. Timeline will be a end of July, weekday. We will be limited by state and local social gathering limits. But with the right people and equipment we can really make good progress in short time. As was done for the last work day, the City is planning to bring a water truck, however, we will most likely need a bucket brigade to move it to the work site.

Stay tuned for more info and schedule for this.

Thanks for the update Matt!

The worst part of what Gabe did to Brown Angel is ZERO erosion control. ZERO. If we get any rain on those trails it will be washed out and form major ruts. Gabe is actively working to DESTROY the environment out in CHER. It is shameful.
