Who is he/she?
What is the organization doing to prevent the continued trail destruction at Calavera?
Am I the only one tired of rebuilding trails out there?
Is this the new "masted plan" ?

What the FUCK is going on?!?! This shit used to be minor... Now they are closing shit on a regular basis...

Fuck the man.

There isn't one. There is an opening if you are interested. Nobody who lives in the area or rides it regularly has offered. Closest to the mark would be Jason but he is mostly embroiled with the Carlsbad master plan.

It really doesn't matter if you join or not, just be involved. I know you do trail work. What is your relationship with the land manager? I know you are pissed but anger will not win this. You have to learn who your land managers are and how to talk to them. That is where the conversation will be most beneficial. Probably the hardest truth is for every one trial you can keep open, you will lose a handful. The upside is you get to keep those few trails open and maybe build/add more.

As much as a despise SDMBA, I am to getting to old and tired to fight this the way I used to. If you don't mind, can you pass along the information I need to get in contact with the right people.

They hold their monthly meeting in Kearny Mesa on the first Monday of every month and everyone is invited to attend. Sign up through Meetup

I'm happy to help with north county projects. A few items to keep in mind.

It seems there are a few Cvera locals, probably lady hikers, who do not want MTBs using "their" trails.
Rocks on trails as example. They probably have the phone number to CDFW, CNLM, City etc.

The City tolerates MTB use at best. If a trail is not on their map it is illegal in their eyes and habitat preservation is their first priority.

CDFW should be engaged separately from the city. Knowing the land boundaries and management agencies is key.

Building features out in the open is a bad idea.

Creating an informal, "Calvera Mountain Bikers" maybe, user group who can work together would be very good. A person from this group could coordinate with SDMBA etc. Like Bonita Bikers.

This is a start. Just some ideas.
