Some places worth exploring...

Please spread the word to not mess with La Costa. We can do a lot of coordinated approved trail maintenance there. Please no rouge building.

From what I saw a couple nights ago, trails are still intact and will require a little creativity to loop the South side without that bridge. Not sure if the area is being policed during the day.
Coincidental that this shit happens right after that fucking "Dickhead" decides to cut two senseless trails off the long ST run on the South side? :flame:

Don't be silly. They can't survive in that environment, they need a muddy truck rut.

This seems to be the core issue with our user group. We need to sort out a way to keep the few ruining it for the many.

Has anyone walked out and talked to the DFW guys?

I emailed the Cbad city trails person today asking for more information. She said she did not know about any work and asked where it was happening.

I talked to a Carlsbad Parks and Rec guy on Tuesday.
He hadn't heard of any work being done by DFG.
He did say DFG and Warren Wong were difficult to
work with and to get info from.

I rode up to the pad from the school, for a quick lunch ride, yesterday and yes some of the larger jumps that were mostly dirt were leveled. What kinda surprised me was the amount of new lines higher up towards the pad; I hadn't been down that way in a while. Perhaps I'm biased given almost all of it is way beyond me but it looked more like a jump park than open space. Seems short-sighted by the builders IMO.

Just want to chime in on this DFG nonsense at Cala.

1) it is illegal to ride the pad and the trails south, I don't want to say always but for at least the 6 years I have been out there, it has been illegal.

2) now that we have established that all the trails are illegal in the previous mentioned point, I would like to remind that ALL of them are illegal, that's the jumps, jump lines, berms, rock gardens and gimp spandex wearing XC trails. So blame cannot be placed on one aspect of trail or "feature" (that seams to be a real popular rearm amongst you guys.

3) at most, there are 10 real builders that work at calavera. Because I happen to know all of them, I can assure you, this group has either cut or maintained a majority of trails that YOU ALL ride. Anyone outside of this elite group of marauders is a kook with a flat head paddy caking gimp lines on shitty trail, claiming it's their, yet they haven't done crap to get it their in the first place.

4) now that we have established that the land is illegal and that none of you are the saints doing the real work in the land, I must point out that NONE of you should be remotely upset. This bullshit wasn't done to YOUR trail. Theses guys have spent their evening on rainy nights slaving to make the trails the best they can be, all the meanwhile you Internet trawlers are jacking off to your homies latest thread on the best carbon cranks, drinking a Cabernet, trying to figure what the best cheater line on strava is to try and catch "the fast guys"

5) you all should learn how to dig. Due to the backlash from "the man" and interment trawlers (previously mentioned) we are gone. The trails you have enjoyed, the berms you have feasted on in "hero" dirt are all on you now. What, did you duechers think that happened when it rained? Shit just got groomed on its own? Elves? Gnomes? Come on...

6) good luck getting more legal trails. I have seen your legal trails. They suck balls.

That's all got.

Regards,
Everyone that actually matters.

Welcome to DT.
I'm a little confused,
your post had nothing
to do with DFG.

Oh yeah, thanks for the
trails

Should we start hiding "a Cabernet" (previous mentioned) instead of beer?  :ninja:
