Crap... now I gotta find a different place to dump my broken beer bottles...

I seriously find her statement hilarious in a 'kook' sorta way.

Dear Mrs. Crowley,

I too love the wildlife, and like yourself, I have also rescued several coyotes, only I used a .22 cal. rifle to do so. I find that little spot right between the corner of their eye and their ear "rescues" them instantaneously.

I just thought passing along this little "tip" would be helpful.

She lives in the neighborhood. I actually think it would be better if it weren't general knowledge exactly which house, or what she looked like (I don't know that). I think it would just lead to uncomfortable vibes for all concerned when we saw her. Maybe she'll realize she completely overreacted, act normal in the future, and we can all maintain the normal state of friendly or at least courteous interaction with the neighbors on the street and on the trails.

btw...I did feel compelled to respond to her, w/o copying the entire list, about the broken glass b.s., and being an "avid hiker" who doesn't know about not cutting switchbacks.

Ya, I lug my heavy beer bottles to the top, break them and scatter the shards about to flatten my tires!
Doesn't everybody?

It's a new type of technical feature.

Seriously... If anything MTBers dissuade that type of thing from happening just by being there.

See Rule #8.

That's all good, but I've run into ATV and motorcycle riders on the VDM trail and the backside fire road from SEH rd. Didn't have the Sherrif on spedd dial, dang.
