What perfect day to give back a little, todays SDMBA trail work was great, I don't know how many people showed up but it was probably more than 100?
Great to see Dirt Treaders very well represented for this event, I have to come back and ride this trail.

Great day at La Costa, a great bike culture event. The CNLM land managers were impressed! Good to see some treaders out there. Sorry I couldn't talked to everyone. Big Clyde, thanks for all the rock moving. Baja, good to see you and thanks for the pics. Evdog, Boo and Offroadie, thanks for the hard work. To any other Treaders that I don't know, thanks for the help.

- Moondogg/Matt

What a great day. The turnout was incredible. Met a few people in person who I had only "met" online, and worked with a great crew - offroadie, bajafresh, Dirtyboo, and Mtbgurl.

We made it up for a couple laps as well - up Switchbacks down Nascar, then up VDM and down switchbacks. Unfortunately offroadie had a bit of a shitty on the way down. It appears his knee has the same magnetism to any solitary rock on the trail that my knee does, and he opened up a gash that was almost as impressive as mine. Get well dude. And don't let the hospital sell you a knee immobilizer - just borrow mine (slightly used!)

No immobilizer necessary.

That was great!
I would have attended if it wasn't for a "homefront commitment".

The hours I spent on Saturday were my first foray into trail maintenance and I had a great time. I learned somethings and met some cool people in the process.

Props to Rich for all the work he's put in over the years and for trying to install the passion that he still has for proper trail maintenance techniques in the rest of us. Hopefully I will be able to make the Calavera outing in Feb.
