BTW, I like your TOPO/GPS files. It's fairly often that I find a "bonus" track in the file so it's like getting two routes for the price of one

Most of the time those are not intentional, like the time my Laguna Map was labeled "Buckman Springs to Campo" in the margins.

I like to think of our local trail knowledge as heirlooms, passed down from one generation to the next. I have been very fortunate to end up where I am as far as location(and everything else for that matter). The people that I normally ride with are a great group of people. There is no denying the awesomeness of the local trails here and as far as GPS track this and that, let's just say that all of my local rides are now private on motionbased. However, anyone is more than welcome to come down and I will personally show them around. How many other places do you know where you can ride 20+ mile rides three days a week for months and never ride the same route. Not to mention being able to do a 60+ miler on 95% dirt anytime you want.

Ding, ding, ding.....we have a winner!

I have been hearing different things from different people. The Southbay posse needs to do a better job at branding  So you do have a more than a few spots of interest that can make for a 3 h ride over singletrack, right?

I really need to head down there and see for myself. It's just that I can almost drive to Alpine at that mileage.

That "Gorge" looked like quite a challenge to me. Bridges just tend to challenge my ability to "visualize". Doubt can hurt a lot...
