PCT might be opened to bikes?

This is very interesting, but I kinda doubt it's true. There's no source cited for the statement in respect to the PCT, and I spent a while searching. I did find that the emptybeer OP has plenty of comments about this on another forum:

PCT is indeed currently open to bikes....as long as you can ride fast enough to outrun the ranger's fat ass.

I was under the impression it was always open, I mean considering all the pictures and reports posted by members of a certain organization.... So, it must have been opened to bikes a long time ago cuz serious advocates wouldnt not practice such nefarious acts....hmmmm, whats that called when people want you to do as they say but not as they do....
