Wrong attitude dude. Are we going to become like the surfing community and start claiming turf? The trails are local to every American. And if anyone wants to have a turf war, I will be glad to participate and claim it all to myself. So get the fuck off my dirt son.

maybe we trespass alot more than we realize and the military are the only ones with the resources to enforce their land boundaries? Sooner or later the military will shut it all down if they can. I remember being let onto Camp Pendleton in the late 80's/early 90's as long as we had surfboards on the trucks. We were aloud to surf anywhere south and north of that landing practice area. Sounds unbelievable huh? But back then there were only 1.5 million in the county, not this new total of 3 million we have now.

PS, Bet that chick that sued doesnt even live here anymore lol, tough to see your town grow and become another LA after-all with peeps that take dumps and then leave.

...not to mention it's usually the "locals" who can't resist posting about the trails. It's human nature.

I spoke with Supv Jacobs office today.

Instead of telling y'all what I found out, best you call yourselves. Politicians really like it when members of the public call with issues. That is WHY they were voted in. They have an entire staff dedicated to speaking with constituents.

Call . . . . . ( ph# posted in previous post)

If you don't want to discuss the topic at hand, probably best you don't post about it in a discussion board. Just sayin.

I think his discussion point was to encourage constituent contacts. At least Supervisor Jacobs likes them. Sherrie Lightner is outraged by them, if you're pro-trails, and gets nasty about it. Either way, always better for the public to find out.

You don't just think. You KNOW that is what I ask. DON'T post here....

This is NOT about me, it's about YOU, ALL OF YOU (lurkers too, I know you are out there on the sidelines).

YOU WANT to ride some great trails (to the jaded crew, if you don't like them, stay away!), call YOUR county supervisor and ask her to help YOU maintain the access to the trails. It's that simple. Some of you have no problem getting snarky and stupid here online, but shrivel at the thought of making contact with your representative.

Yeah... best to LOCK this thread. Enough has been said. It's been lingering long enough most folks have read it. Either do something positive or move on. Now get busy and post some pics of your new gear, shoes, helmets and views.

Ride on folks.

Interesting comment. Are you under the impression that with 2 pages on the topic, it has not been discussed enough?

Sorry if this sounds uninformed, but does a County Supervisor have any power over federal, military land? I am sure I am not the only one with that question.

I think someone needs a name change mtbchiponmyshoulder might be a little more appropriate.

Another angle is keep the thread going... what ever it takes... throw me under the bus (or Marine Corp 4 wheeler). I really don't much of anything personal. We are ALL in this together.... chip or no chip....... (hey, I've even landed on MY SHOULDER on BOTH Toads and Barrels (love those choice fast dropping turns), and I'm still Chip!!!)

Thanks 24v!
