t1 used to be called 'crossings' due to 3 or 4 stream crossings. like the e-w connector between t4 and the merged t3/t2 trails, it is relatively flat. quite beautiful though, and one of the least used tunnels. the loop there used to be east on t1, right turn up the hill after exit, another right up near the top and return along the ridgeline before a short but wicked, crash laden drop back into the beginning of t1 (just before the t1/t2,3,/t4 intersection). this ridgeline was called the east ridge trail and overlooks and parallels t2, but just east of it.

it wasn't very intuitive to find the east ridge trail. i haven't been there in years so not sure if any landmarks remain.

Gosh, you'd think that F&G wardens would be concerned with catching, oh, let's say, actual game poachers, would'nt you?

I guess there is no illegal hunting/fishing activity in San Diego county, being the law-abiding place it is...

Being a devil's advocate kinda guy, What would happen if all eight rides rode off indifferent directions. Can they shoot you for riding away? I ask this jokingly, because it blows my mind, that there would even be any kind of a ticket, let alone "threats" of taking your property, just for recreational bicycle riding?. :? Short of riding tru vernal pools, re-vegetation areas, and such.

In the whole picture of a budget crisis and having priorities a bit higher than catching biker scum, this whole thing is total BS. Some jackhole is directing them to be here to bust your ass, plain and simple.
Friggin shame that "people or groups" can get this accomplished legally because biker scum piss them off.

That last couple of steeps coming down East Ridge were pretty fun, but that was about 5 years ago, got to it from the Euc trees via a long windy up/down trail a definite ticket ride as it went thru the fence several times as I recall.
