Today with map in hand the search for the Lo-Chi trail ended with gitty amazement. It is just a short out and back trail, but the flow and amount of features makes it an instant favorite.

This is the norm on Lo-Chi

The structural integrity is suspect, but that just adds to the thrill right?

Then on to the "moon scape" for chunk,

Then back down the hill to the truck through some more chunk,

Just in time to be the first in line for a burger and root beer.
