Well... I have come to a fork in the road and have decided that with all the variables in the mix it will be best for me to make a large shift to the right.

I am going to be moving to Oklahoma to be closer to family. I am originally from OK, moving to San Diego in 2004 after graduating college and I can honestly say that I have really, really enjoyed my time here in SD.

I'll keep this short/sweet and as sap free as possible. Thank you for sharing some trail with me. I have made some great friends and some incredible memories with all of you losers. Thank you for welcoming me in and unlocking what San Diego mountain biking is all about.

In retrospect I must say that- I know that we bitch and moan about trails and tail access and how awful it is to be a mountain biker here, but the reality is that this place is mountain biker paradise. Get out there and be present in the trails that do exist, poach all the other tails that also exist, do regular trail maintenance, and don't forget to cut illegal trails too.

Thanks for sharing if you don't know me by name maybe this will help jog your memory- Bikes of my tenure here in SD:

Family is a good reason to make a move, and there is mountain biking in Oklahoma. Post up a few photos from your new trails!

If your heading to Tulsa, you can look up Sasquatch Nick. Another D.T. transplant to the OK.He (Nick) has posted some photos of some cool looking trail around the Tulsa area. Not to mention you not too far from Arkansas the Ozark Mts. are beautiful.
Good Luck to you!

WTF!! No Idy-Hellrazor-Simpson farewell ride? Trail advocacy and trail dramas don't go to these places.

Thank you very much Mitch! I would have to agree we have shared some great trail time together. I guess what really made that possible was the two of us being unemployed for a minute giving us all the free time required to explore the rugged that SD has to offer.

Oz,
It is no secret that my favorite trails are located up there, Hellrazor being at the top of the list. I love that trail for me it is second to none around here. That being said if there is any trail around here that I do owe a visit it would be Hell Razor. The last time I rode there (with you) the trail claimed the rear triangle of my bike, and I've always wanted redemption.

I'm not sure that I'll have time for redemption, but if I do I will be sure to drag you along with me.

Thanks for the good times Oz. You always manage to show up with a group of riders at the top of their game, and I've always had fun chasing you and your crew down the hill.

Let's do it soon before it gets nasty hot or hotter than it already is. I'm more flexible on Sundays.
4200 ft of elevation loss plus how many ever runs we could get out of Simpson on the way out for dessert .

Yes, there are a few that could use redemption as well.

I remember that trip! He had to take his seat post out just to ride the trails . Hands down the most scary trail I have ever ridden.

Where in OK are you headed? Hit me up when you get out here, I'll ride with you. There is tons of stuff in OKC and Lawton that I have yet to explore.

Little tip, if you go to Turkey MTN, do not back into the parking spot unless you are looking for a different kind of ride.

What's up Sasquatch! I'll be moving to Norman but will be sure to make it to Turkey Mountain there is great riding there, or at least there was about 15 years ago when I rode there.

I've got great friends in Tulsa and will be spending a lot of time there.

Thanks for the heads up about parking that's not my style of ride.
