Props to you scott!
The great divide is like pioneering. I would love to do it in a few years. It wil change your life bro. Watch the videos on you tube from salsa cycles if you haven't already. Care to share with us about your planned setup/gear?

I am training all over SoCal we have a great diversity of terrain here:) my favorite training area is in big bear. My setup at the time of the race as far as bike goes will be a specialized sworks 29er hard tail frame based bike with beefier wheels/hubs and a cushy saddle for the tush but basically a sworks. I will be using revelate designs bags on the bike. The camping gear is still undergoing trials:)

Caught the movie one day half way through. Locked it in on the DVR. Still there for inspiration. You should definitely let DT'Rs follow you. Maybe we should request a screening at a shop to raise funds? I'd pony up a few bucks to watch again.

I am trying to get things together I am having a website put together and I will post video of all that I can record during the race my ultimate goal is to start a non profit to raise money for cancer victims and to inspire others to do great things. I am currently lookin for sponsors for the bike as you would geuss it's not just the avg bike that I will need for such a trip.
