For some reason, I don't see the vid. Can someone post the link? Love that trail.

Or to add to the lexicon, cautious from repeated injuries rider who wants to go big but usually doesn't now but hits the medium stuff go around. We all make each other look good, right?

Since you can clearly see in the video what bike I'm riding, I had no choice but to hit as many features as I could, regardless of success. Otherwise I would have redefined the term "Poseur"

Very nice vid, Dozer. But about that camera angle... were you using a standard GoPro Chesty mount? Seemed a bit low - at times I felt like I was right there... between your thighs!?!?

Don't let what somebody else thinks of you dictate your choices, but if you do, please video it and post it up here! And yes, I'm an old-fart-poseur, fer sure. Especially when you see me on my vintage 7" travel Joker, taking the go-arounds. I just got so much 'retained hardware' in my body, that I'm finally riding in a more sedate manner.

Still, that is one trail I gotta check out. I think I know where it is

That was great!

Yup, it was on a Chesty mount, but I Macgyvered a bunch of mount extensions together. I was trying to replicate the POV from http://www.vitalmtb.com/videos/features/ONE-LAP-Lars-Sternberg-Luke-Strobel-Xanadu,28310/iceman2058,94, but it didn't work. Found out when I got home that I didn't need all of the extensions.

Well, yesterday I had my big opportunity to prove to myself that I'm not a poseur on Mongo. I failed miserably and ended up taking the same go-rounds on most of the drops on the new bike, as I did on my old bike. . :? Anyone interested in buying a new Insurgent?..... (I kid, I kid!).

In more positive news, we were able to seek out and find the Spaceballs trail head. Strangely and rather unexpectedly, I found that trail to be much more 'do-able'. The pucker factor the first time through was still rather high though. Plenty of 'consequences' for failure on this one.

BTW, I blame Bulldozer for making me realize that I am indeed a poseur. I would have preferred to remain blissfully ignorant, and a legend in my own mind. 8)
