Burly!! I wanna go!! Is this one of those spots that's impossible to ride on the weekends because of hikers?

How long does it take you to get to the top?

I always ride there during the week, but even when Iron is packed there's usually nobody on Ellie. It is a HAB for a lot of it so time depends on how fast you hike. It's usually about an 8 mile ride with around 1500' of climbing depending on which route you take.

Nice work!!!

ol' Singletrack and I have been riding out at Iron Mountain recently and have been talking about:
#1.- who else can we convince to come out here and endure this with us? shitty up, but the down.. ohhh the downhill!! Singletrackmitch went so far as to post up a ride time and no takers?
#2.- when are we gonna make Ellie a part of the loop- well I can be sure that this video has settled it. We've been talking about doing Ellie "next time" and now I'm sure of it our trip to Iron Mountain next week we'll be riding Ellie..

So how do you go about it? do you ride up the iron mountain trail and then take the fork that goes to the top of Ellie?

&-Nice ride at Anderson yesterday dude.. I Love that place!

If I'm feeling energetic I do the normal climb to the top of Iron. Then take the fork to Ellie on the way down. Take Ellie down and stay to the left to hit the rock staircase sections. Then climb the fire road to the northwestern peak and take Ellie down. It comes out to about 8.5 miles and 2000' of climbing.Image
