and their crew for a ride on Lower Rock Creek.

Our friend's dad drove the shuttle truck for that ride, but they just built a new trail head at the south end in Paradise and there's a small parking lot near the trail head, but I'm not sure if it's a public lot or not.
If you're in Mammoth, LRC is a must. It's just shy of 8 miles and around 2000' of elevation loss, but it's not a DH trail. It's mostly fast, smooth, flowing single track with a few techy rock sections, and the scenery is amazing.

I don't do the shuttle thing myself (unless the shuttle is a chair lift.)

The climb itself would actually be a nice climb, I'd be concerned about the traffic coming down, there's a lot of blind corners with not a lot of room to move.
