Hit Nascar today hoping to do it faster than I ever have before. Pinch flatted in the first 45 seconds of the first run. Switched out the tube, then my pump stopped working. Had a lovely stroll back down the hill with my bike. Found a guy parked on the street with a pump (thanks again). Filled it up to 40 psi because I didn't have another spare. Went back up and got in a run that made me forget my troubles. Got a personal best by about 3 seconds.

It wouldn't let me embed it for some reason. Here's the link.

Horray..... Box Drop!
Funny, I rode Nascar today as well, around 12:15. Followed a red Foes down.

I think I left around 12:30. Must have just missed you. The only other biker I saw on the trail was a guy on a Kona in a Black Flag t-shirt.

Somebody did some quality work fixing the box drop. I got a really good look at it walking down the hill.

I know exactly how you feel. I rode it for the first time 7 months ago and it was intimidating and just plain hard. I couldn't ride it with stopping to rest. I've ridden it 22 times since then and it gets more fun each time.

It also helps to have a bike designed for that sort of trail.

I've found a full face helmet can also be a good confidence booster when there are a lot of rocks around.

Yep.
Also, pads really help with the confidence factor.

Ya, Pedaled the white 951 up the watertower fireroad, and descended NASCAR from the top. Love the Hammerschmidt and Joplin! Pushing a DH bike uphill blows!

I bet that made it a little more interesting. I'd hurt myself if I tried that.

I usually hit the smaller ones. I'm not very good when my wheels leave the ground. It's like I instantly become retarded. I'm working on getting better though.

Haha, that was me with the pump. Can't tell you how many times I've pinch flatted, and now lately burped tires on Nascar

Good riding man, the rear wheel angle looks sweet too. Now hit those doubles up top!
