We started our road trip late last week to tend the Hutchinson Tires booth at Interbike. Interbike has always been a reunion of sort for me. I get to reconnect with an old college rooomie in the industry, friends, racing buddies and biz news you can't get anywhere else. I love it.

We left from the closing of Interbike on Friday evening and drove through Death Valley en route to Mammoth. Road signage there can be cryptic and yes we got lost and ate up an hour. Silver lining- I love hitting the dips on a desolate highway at 90-100MPH.. boosh! We arrived at Mammoth around 1AM and it's 35degF (having come from 101degF thru Death Valley). So excited to ride I barely slept and was up at 6:30am cooking eggs and bacon for all at the condo. Get up, fucking slackers! Let's milk every run..

I have avoided going to Mammoth for the last two years. I prefer other spots. But when the wife says she wants to, I bend. Wa-pish.. LOL! Kidding aside, Mammoth will always have a place in my heart. I find the mountain and town really relaxing. Sceneries -wow! Goes without saying.

The trails are straightforward and unlike Northstar, I (and most of us) don't have to be on the edge every run down. The only thing I want to do differently next time we have to go back to Mammy is to bring my trail bike. The DH bike is just too much considering how the trails have been sanitized, groomed and bike parkasized...

thanks. I passed out on the floor playing Xbox early last night. So pooped from our Tues PQ ride. Paolo (pgFa) is a madman on the bike last night.

I will finish one more lazy edit of the gurls in our group tonight.

2 more weeks and it's Northstar weekend.. woot!

That trip was awesome! Great friends and time spent riding with Ozzer, can't ask for anything more, well maybe less pedaling of the DH bike, but other than that....

Now I just need to get faster!
