I took the family to Tahoe for our little getaway and for my wife to attend the women's only DH clinic on Saturday. I was able to steal 6 runs on Fri following our arrival since it was the last Fri they extend their hours up to 7PM. Unfortunately, my first run on Livewire (jump trail) got me overzealous and got bucked hard near the bottom. OTB, ragdolled and got a sore wrist. I decided to chill the pace down and tuned my new suspension.

On Sunday, I definitely felt the soreness but when you have driven this far, nothing stops the will to pound runs after runs. So being the first guy on the mountain, I stole a few lazy runs to get the blood flowing on what would be my longest day of runs after runs at Northstar. I can't wait to go back and maybe squeak more runs...

Ran into Tara and Jeremy enar the end of the day and got a few runs with them. Good times.

RIDE!!

There are some trails that'll really work ya. But there are more timid trails, even some flat ones, that anyone can cruise on.

I miss gnar*. =(

Damn, if OrvSpeed looks like that. I wonder what AlfSpeed looks like?

Sherms, I followed a good friend, Brian, and he's just as scary fast as ALF. We pulled trains on jump spots (bec I asked him to let me catch up closer so we could squash the jumps wheel to wheel). I really wished I still had my camera on during our runs together. It would have provided some aerial money shots.

This is definitely the first year I've actually cleared (and overshot many) all jumps at Gnar*. It must be the bike. :)
