It's 110 degrees in Poway right now! I went for a pre Tour de Poway ride through Escondido this morning, I drained (2) 24oz bottles. Filled both bottles up in Escondido, re-filled both at Pomerado on my way home. Post ride; I am cramping like my Hamstrings are made of rubber bands, I was a little to sure of my self today, and I paid for it. I hope it's cooler next weekend.
While I'm at it; if any DT's want to park in front of my house for the Tour next Sunday you are welcome to. I live about 1.5-2 flat miles from the start of the event.

I don't mind the hot so much when I am on the road. It won't be hot on the initail climb, everything after that is gravy. Ok except for the road towards Del Mar, that road is always a wind tunnel and that climb right after hurts a little. See ya Sunday, I may be on the SS bike for this one.

You just keep telling yourself that it won't be hot in Ramona, and Escondido, and San Marcos . Once we get on Palomar Airport Rd. it should cool off. I live out here in Poway buddy, you can't fool me. If it's as hot as it is today (it's 107 now @ 4:15, it was 110 at noon) the carnage will be epic.
