Does anyone have a good sports medicine doctor that they would recommend?

Many thanks!

I used to see F. Allen Richburg, M.D., FAAF with the SDSM group - he's a great MD with specializations in sports and family practice. I'm pretty sure he has a lot of experience with cycling as an athlete and as a physician. Why I don't see him anymore - mostly insurance reasons but also because I just don't have the time... be prepared to wait wait wait in the waiting room and the exam room... he is a popular doc, overbooked, and spends more time with his patients than his schedule allows.

Then that means that he's a good doctor! :D

Thanks for the recommendations guys, I was able to get an appointment today with Dr. Richburg at San Diego Sports Medicine. I am glad to be seeing someone who is a cyclist as well.

Thanks again!!

Richburg used to be my primary care physician before a job change and health insurance change required me to switch. Great guy and good doc. It can be hard to get an appointment, so glad you were able to get in and see him.

+1 on SD Sports Medicine. Allen Richburg took care of my needs as well. He also referred me to an excellent Orthopedic Surgeon (getting me a same day visit!).

I am not so certain with your concern. If you mean a doctor who specializes on sports, you can click the links provided by some posters here. But if you mean a medicine for sports, check this out http://www.bu.edu/today/node/1124.

Well, that's good. That was very great sports, having sports can help our health especially for the busy person like that doctors. They also need an exercise and relax sometimes. I think it is exciting to watch sport for the doctor group.

Huh?
